1-1. Roof ridge rectangular lumber work

A. The rectangular lumber for roof ridge and corner ridge shall be installed 50mm higher than the rafter on the top of the rafter.

1-2. Eave flashing rectangular lumber work

A. In case eave flashings are used for the eave work, the rectangular lumber shall be installed to be extruded as high as the floor board above the rafter as shown in the picture.

B. In case you want to hide the eave trough so that it can not be seen, produce and use special broad eave flashings as shown in the picture.

1-3. Eave flashing rectangular lumber work

A. Prior to metal roof tile work, you should decide on the length of the eave trough.

2-1. Rectangular lumber work of valley area

A. The eave trough of the valley of the roof shall be made of copper plate. The size of the eave trough may differ depending on the shape of the roof. The size of the rectangular lumber of the valley shall be 75mm x 40mm. It should be installed at least 12mm~20mm extruded from the truss and its edge shall be nailed.

2-2. The typical shape of the valley

A. Lift the eave trough of the valley 30mm higher from the eave edge of the wall so that water can flow into the eave trough at the end of the eave.

3. Work for the place which is connected with the wall

4. Work for the ridge of the roof

3-1. The finishing work of the vertical wall

A. After bending the finished edge of the metal roof tiles above the wall, you shall finish the wall with the side flashings as shown in the picture.

3-2. Work for connecting the wall with the sloping roof

A. The sloping roof connected with the vertical wall shall be finished by laying the roof tiles, which have been bent upward, below the wall plate.

B. In case you finish the wall with the side flashings by matching the length of the rafter with the layers of roof tile, you shall bend the side flashing below the wall plate and match the edge of the flashing with that of the roof tile as shown in the picture.

3-3. Double sloping roof

A. When the degree of the sloping roof changes because of changes in the roof line, you shall install roof tiles after the rectangular lumber work as shown in the picture. If it is difficult to adjust the number of roof tile layers because of the degree of the roof slope, you may cut roof tiles for matching.

A. The roof ridge and the corner ridge shall be finished with special types of ridges as shown in the picture.

When you finish the roof with the C-type roof ridge, you shall have the double-layers of the roof ridge rectangular lumber and install the roof ridge on top of them.
